Is Apple Watch waterproof?
All Apple Watch models apart from the first Apple Watch are water-resistant up to 50 meters. And they can be used for shallow-water activities, like swimming. However, Apple does not recommend their Apple Watch for scuba diving or other activities that require contact with high water levels, such as water skiing.
If you are going swimming, enable the Water Lock mode to prevent your watch from being triggered by accidental touches caused by water pressure. As soon as you are dry, you can turn the digital crown. That way you can eject any water that crept into the watch crevices.
Apple Watch (1st generation) and Apple Watch Series 1 are the only splash-resistant. So Apple does not recommend it to submerge it in water. And Apple says that soaps, shampoos, conditioners, lotions, and perfumes can degrade the quality of the seals on your Apple Watch.
