What is Apple Pay

Apple Pay is a mobile payment method. It is a service that allows users of Apple devices to pay privately through Apple iOS apps and the web. It can be used on Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac. With Apple Pay you can make payments to stores, online and apps. And this does not charge any money. That is free.

Apple Pay was first introduced in October 2014. That was 8 years ago. It supports iOS 8.1 or later. You get Apple Pay with your Apple device. That means you don’t have to download any other app through the store. And there are no hussles here, and there is no need to complete a complicated progress. 85 percent of retailers in the U.S. support Apple Pay. So you can use Apple Pay as and when you want.

How to setup your Apple Pay

This process varies depending on the Apple device you have.

For iPhone – Open the Wallet app on your iPhone. Then tap on add a card.

For iPad – Go to settings on your iPad. Then go to Wallet & Apple Pay. Then tap add a card.

For Mac devices – For models with Touch ID, go to System Preferences. Go to Wallet & Apple Pay there. Then tap on add a card.

The problem that many people have is whether Apple Pay is secure or private or not. The answer is yes. Apple Pay is a very good secure way to pay. This is because Apple Pay does not store your card numbers in their App or in your device. And it will never be shared by Apple Pay to another party. Also, your details or card number will not be obtained with your payment. Apple Pay gives you a unique device account number.

You can use Apple Pay without verification. But you will not be able to use the features like sending and receiving money and adding money to your account. It only takes a few minutes to verify your card to your Apple Pay. Once your card verification is successful, you will receive a wallet notification stating that your card is ready to use with Apple Pay.
