But, I hope things will have to be smaller than they are now”.

The overheating was the main problem to have answered by the Apple Company, which didn’t work well. In the end, there was a product which had been labeled as a failure.

When it comes to written media, they did a free sponsoring job for the Apple company as the company was a crucial one to the American Economy.

The Competition From IBM

The competition has taken place several times in apple history timeline. The first to take place was the competition that given by IBM company. Apple Company had stolen $118 million from the largest computer manufacturer in the world, IBM. 1981 was a crucial year for Apple as IBM started taking precautions since this year. As a company that was producing computer equipment, they had not come into the hands of the customers. They started assembling Personal Computers as a solution to the competition given by Apple company. Since the reduced price and the Higher quality were their signature characteristics, they could withstand the competition of Apple company.

The dealership, higher number of users, more availability and more marketing strategies were already with IBM. When coming to the real world, IBM had got 1.4$ assets at the time when Apple started conquering the market. Along with the personal computer strategy of IBM, they could overcome the competition overran by Apple. There were lots of reasons t have a failed product chain from Apple III. When it comes to one of them, the IBM was playing a major role in it eventually.

1983 Lisa And More

Steve Jobs was not working actively on the Project Apple III. Because a failed product was already under the Apple Title, Jobs had to  be careful when introducing new products. He thought of Lisa as a great way to get rid of that burden. With that thought Lisa came into the market.

Lisa is considered to be one of the revolutionary products in the IT world, along with new words such as Moue, Icon, and Desktops. Even at present, you might be feeling okay with those words for sure. Since the command entering and taking feedback into an interface which is hard to understand was a hard thing to do.

At PARC Facilities

The Lisa team thought of a more convenient way to give commands. The origin of the revolutionary ideas dates back to the time when they visited PARC facilities belonged to Xerox. Lisa team was allowed to conduct their studies at this venue for their days. They had to purchase US$1,000,000 worth IPO stock from them in return. As one of the most wisest decision taken in the apple history timeline, the Lisa team came up with impressive ideas out of the facilities.

There Was Floppy Disc In It

The floppy disk is one of the vital characteristics to have included in Lisa computer. More importantly it could adapt to the basic characteristics of IBM computer. The memory of Lisa was a major improvement which came in MegaBytes. It came with 5 Megabyte hard drive and 2 megabyte RAM memory. However, the price for a computer had been labeled as $9999, which was still higher than an IBM personal computer. Since other features had gone through the loyal fans already, Lisa became a success in the end.

10,000 Was More Than Enough

Although 10000 sales was not a digit to impress, the highest price made it still a good one. Steve Job stayed as the chief of the Lisa project almost all the time. He was sent out of the project in 1982 as Apple Company was looking into a good way to send their products. They were looking to send Macintosh products into the market in the next year with the expertise knowledge of Steve Jobs. The Macintosh was a project that was looking to produce Apple computers for a reasonable price like competitors had been doing.

1984 Macintosh And Beyond

The world had been looking at IBM Company as the only solution until the first quarter of 1980 decade. After few successful products, the world had a clear vision regarding Apple company. They thought of Apple as the expensive and quality alternative for IBM as well. Apple computer company announced the Macintosh 128k in October 1984, which had a ARM of 128Mb. They had got the sponsorship of several covers of Magazines in the same time. When it comes to the broadcasting media, Apple company put a giant step to take the brand name of Apple to the public using advertisements. The 1.5Million advertisement was one of those things. It was directed by Ridley Scott, one of the most popular commercial directors in the USA.

Apple company went to sell Macintosh computers at the beginning of 1984. Since the price was one of the concerns, they sold a Macintosh computer for a price of USD 2495 in USA. It was a relief for the customers who had to pay an increased price of doubled or tripled amount to purchase a previous Personal Computer.

The most important thing about the computer was its preinstalled features given by Apple, MacWriter and MapPoint. Users could perform basic drawing as well as typing tasks using those applications. Along with those two applications, Command based applications had also installed for a better users experience. It is important to remember that Apple company launched this product in 1984 when Microsoft company was using Dos functions to achieve objectives.

Although the Macintosh computer was introduced for a lower price, there were few setbacks in front of this computer. Having slower processing speed, sticky graphical interface and demanding higher space for system files were a few of setbacks. Therefore, there was a declined demand in the market at the second half of the year 1984. Meanwhile, Apple company ran few campaigns to troubleshot the issues of the users. The company had to expend more money than they expected as code re-writing like costly decisions had to be taken at this part of the process, which made the Macintosh 1984 edition almost a chaos.

1985 When Steves Left Apple

1985 was a crucial year for Steve Jobs and the Apple crew as they could not get what they expected from Macintosh 1984 128k version. Since Microsoft had developed MS word and IBM was already in the context, Apple needed something special to go ahead. When it comes to the Steve Jobs decision making, he hired John Sculley as the CEO of Apple company. The famous phrase, “Do you want to sell sugar water for the rest of your life or come with me and change the world?” was one of the proofs to explain what Jobs in his mind.

Sculley had a differentiated vision regarding Apple Company. Simply, he wanted to produce products similar to Apple II, which was designed for individuals. Schools, small institutes, children, and similar audience were his target. When it comes to the Steve Jobs, what he wanted was to take his Apple products to closed architectural computers where the effort is law and the income is higher than open architecture computers.

Sculley had some sort of authority to take decisions and conducted special researches and tests to implement computers like Apple II. John Sculley had a good progress regarding the products he invented using his marketing and management knowledge. Although John Sculley brought more than 85% of the income using his Apple II division, he avoided exposing his division to the Annual meeting. Wozniak was worried about what Sculley did and decided to leave the company. It was the loss of one of the earliest members of the Apple family. Since then Wozniak avoided coming or appearing to any Apple function as he got himself busy with his own ventures. It is said that Wozniak was being about $120,000 per year due to his role which helped to bring the company to a stable position

1985 was a crucial year for Steve Jobs as well. He was removed from the post of general manager in the Macintosh division. John Sculley got to know that Jobs was about to call an executive meeting and turn everything back. It didn’t work as Steve Job was a lonely member at the coup, which he thought to have been more effective. The Apple staff sided with Sculley and Jobs was removed from all the operations since that day. It was the end of the first decade of apple history timeline.

A man created a world class company in his bedroom, and he was removed from it after the end of 15 years. That is how it seems at the beginning. According to most of the people, Steve Jobs could have become someone else’s if he got out of the management part. But, most of people believe him as a person who had both genius and management skills. Although he is where he stated at the end of the first fifteen years of apple history timeline, many revolutionary things are about to come.
